CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Three people are facing charges in connection to a murder that happened last week in west Charlotte.

Investigators say Alquez Thompson shot and killed Craig Leverette Jr. on Willard Street last Thursday.

Carolyn Lilly and Reginald Martin have been charged with accessory after the fact.

Witnesses say multiple gunshots were fired near the intersection of Lewiston Avenue and Willard Street.  Then witnesses heard additional gunshots on Marble Street.

Leverette was found lying in a yard near Marble Street.  He was taken to CMC but died a short time later.  Police do not believe this was a random act of violence.
