Police Searching for Southwest Charlotte Murder Suspect

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Police have released the name of a suspect in a southwest Charlotte homicide. 

Investigators have signed a murder warrant for Joseph Rayfield.  Cops say he killed Alfred Smith at this home on Red Hickory Lane last week. 

Police believe Rayfield fled the state and may be in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. 

He also may be operating a champagne color Jeep Grand Cherokee with North Carolina license plate number RXR-1112. 

If you see Rayfield, call police.
