Protesters Block Intersection

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Dozen of protesters had a brief show down with police in Uptown Charlotte Tuesday. Cops stopped them as they tried to make their way to the convention.

They blocked the intersection of Stonewall and Caldwell for about two hours. Protesters say the officers let them continue as long as they agreed to stay on the sidewalk.

Chief Rodney Monroe says things are going smoothly.

Cops arrested one person during the protest.John Penley is charged with breaching a police line and barricade.

There were two other arrest on Tuesday.A man named Paul Davis is charged with disorderly conduct and dispersing a noxious substance, which turned out to be green dye. Dylan Wrynn is charged with disorderly conduct.
