Providence High School students returning from a band competition were involved in a wreck on I-95 near Brunswick, GA.

CMS officials say the students were in four charter busses. The Georgia Highway Patrol says the busses and three other cars were involved in the crash that shut down the interstate for hours.

Three students suffered minor injuries and were treated and released from the hospital, according to a CMS Spokesperson. The driver of one of the charter busses suffered more serious injuries.

The students are expected to arrive back in Charlotte early Monday morning.

The Georgia Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
