S.A.T. Scores Dipped in Mecklenburg CountyCHARLOTTE, N.C.--Officials say students in Charlotte-Mecklenburg are getting lower scores on their S.A.T.'s. The scores dipped here and across the country for the third year in a row. A little more than 67% of CMS students took the test this year. Keep in mind it's not required. Those numbers are down one percent from last year. The average combined score in CMS for 2012 was 1463, which is down 19 points from last year. The national average dropped two points to 1498. The max score is 2400.
