Another CMS Student Caught With Gun On School PropertyCHARLOTTE, NC - In as little as two days, a second CMS middle school student has been caught with a gun on school property. Early Tuesday morning, a student showed a gun to his fellow classmates on their bus going to Jay M. Robinson Middle School. When they arrived on campus the students told school administration, and the School Resource Officer apprehended the student. The gun was unloaded, and the student did not have any bullets. CMS Police are handling the incident. CMS is having a news conference at 11:30am today in reference to the incident yesterday where a student brought two guns on a Northeast Middle School bus. Monday afternoon, a student was charged with 8 counts of kidnapping and 2 counts of possession of a weapon on school ground, after he demanded the bus driver take him to another location at gunpoint. The driver was able to talk the student into giving him the gun and exiting the bus. A second student then gave the driver another gun that the first student had given to him to assist, which he took in fear. There were no injuries in either of these incidents. |
