Student Tased, Arrests Made After Fight At Vance High SchoolCHARLOTTE, NC - An incident involving some students fighting occurred at Vance High School this morning around 6:30am. The school resource officer had to call CMPD for assistance, and a student in the incident was tased by an officer. Three students were arrested. Donavan Meeks (student the TASER was deployed on) was charged with Disorderly conduct, Inciting a riot, Resist obstruct and delaying a public officer. During the arrest process of Donavan, two additional incidents occurred resulting in 2 arrests. DaQuan Davidson was charged with disorderly conduct and inciting a riot after he was witnessed standing on top of a cafeteria table attempting to incite other students. A third student, D'Aunte Conner, was charged with inciting a riot and damage to property after he attempted to escalate the crowd, and then punched and damaged a window in the cafeteria. CMPD was on campus the rest of the day monitoring the school. No injuries were reported. |
