Tutor Training Will Benefit CMS Students
by FOX Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Volunteers got a crash course yesterday in learning how to make reading fun for kids.

The training at Hope Haven Center is part of the United Way's Project 1,000. The goal is to pair a thousand tutors with at-risk CMS students. Organizers say some of the kids just need attention.

The United Ways still needs volunteers. The tutors work with children grades K-12.
