CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Kids’ Health Goes Gold, a new national initiative promoting children’s health and wellness, harnesses some serious girl power.  Local children got to meet and learn from 8 great Olympic Champions in the ulitmate "Girl Power" event.

If you watched the London Summer Games...then you know the team of Gold Medal Stars. In attendance at the Foundation of the Carolina's were:

  • Gabrielle Douglas: Gymnastics
  • McKayla Maroney: Gymnastics
  • Aly Raisman: Gymnastics
  • Jordyn Wieber: Gymnastics
  • Lauren Cheney: Soccer
  • Abby Wambach: Soccer
  • Rebecca Soni: Swimming
