Warm weather brings allergy nightmare

CHARLOTTE, NC - Being able to enjoy the warm weather in February is part of the reason we love living in Charlotte. But, there is a big price to pay for that weather... if you're an allergy sufferer. 

Allergies are taking a toll on many people - even those who are enjoying the weather today tell us they have to take medication to control their allergies. 

Going to the allergy doctor's office is proof of the explosion of allergy sufferers in the last two weeks.  Dr. Gray Norris says transplants to Charlotte can be surprised to find out they have allergies.  

City arborist Don McSween says it's the pollen from cedar, alder and elm trees right now that is making the air so tough for many people.  He adds a cold snap will not affect tree pollen production.
