CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Some are calling it the latest miracle pill to hit the weight loss market. Tuesday the drug "QSYMIA" became available with a doctor's prescription.

It's the first new weight loss drug on the market in 13 years. Aimed at helping obese patients drop up to 10 percent of their body weight, QSYMIA combines two potent medicines, and appetite suppressant and a drug that reduces cravings.

Dr. Marlowe emphasizes that the drug will not work alone, it must be combined with diet and exercise.
