CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The American Cancer Society's 3rd annual "Take a Slice Out of Cancer" event was held Thursday night at Villa Francesca in Uptown Charlotte. 

Mayor Anthony Foxx, Chief Rodney Monroe, Panthers players Jon Beason and Mac Bernardeau and Lindsey Baker, Miss Charlotte Teen USA, made appearances at the event.  The Charlotte Fire Department parked the "Pink Lady" outside and live music and plenty of food was inside.

FOX Charlotte's own Morgan Fogarty emceed the event which raised thousands of dollars for cancer research.
