10 Arrested in Unlawful Demonstrations During DNCCHARLOTTE, NC -- On Thursday, police arrested 10 people for unlawful demonstrations in Uptown Charlotte. According to authorities, Audrey Campbell, Amelia Campbell, Richard French, Matthew Goodsell, Christina Mounce, and Michael Stewart, were arrested and charged for impeding traffic. They were arrested at the intersection of E. Stonewall and S. Tryon Streets for blocking the roadway by sitting in the intersection while protesting. Around 3:30 p.m., officers arrested three other people on West Trade Street. Kyle Pugh was arrested for disorderly conduct and interfering with public assembly. Taylor Gunsauley was also arrested for failure to disperse. A third person was also arrested during the incident and transported to an area hospital for a non incident related medical condition. Her name has not been released yet. Allison McCracken was also arrested for dropping a 40 foot giant pink slip banner that read “YES WE CAN END WAR” off of a parking garage at S. College and 3rd Street near the Democratic Convention.
