$1.2 Billion Budget Plan For CMS
CHARLOTTE,NC--Next years proposed budget for Charlotte Mecklenburg schools may be a tough sell.
Superintendent Dr. Heath Morrison unveiled the $1.2 billion plan Tuesday, the new plan is said to be $34 million more than the current budget.
The new plan says it will add magnet programs and boost technology in schools.
Funding for the new plan will ask $366 million from the county which is $28 million more than 2013 funding, another $716 million will come from the state if the plan is approved.
