by FOX Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Police are searching for a man who was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday but never made it. According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, Wade Bolton failed to appear for his court appearance and later cut off his electronic monitoring device near Marlowe Avenue. He is wanted on several outstanding warrants including possession of a firearm by felon. Police say Bolton is a habitual felon with an extensive criminal history including several arrests for larceny from auto, auto theft, breaking and entering and assault charges.

Bolton is the fourteenth offender to cut off his court ordered monitor in 2012. Anyone with information on Bolton’s whereabouts should immediately contact the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team or call Crime Stoppers.
