Feds: Gastonia Pastor Had Sex with Minors in Haiti
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — A Gastonia pastor has been indicted after authorities say he had sex with two minors in Haiti while doing missionary work in the country.
Larry Bollinger remained in the Mecklenburg County jail Friday, charged with two counts of having sex with people under age 18.
The federal indictment says the crimes happened in 2009.
Bollinger also has volunteered for House of Mercy, a residential care facility for people seriously ill from AIDS. The CEO of the organization says Bollinger and his wife were wonderful volunteers and others in the program were stunned to hear about the allegations against the 66-year-old pastor.
It wasn't clear if Bollinger had an attorney.
