CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Police are looking for a suspect in the shooting of a 21-year-old man in the parking lot of a Charlotte apartment complex.

Authorities say Dantonio Hamilton died at the scene of the shooting around 3:45 a.m. Saturday.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have charged 19-year-old Arnold Thomas in the killing. They did not give a motive for the shooting.

Hamilton was charged along with two others in a fatal shooting in May 2010 in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant, but investigators determined he did not fire the fatal shot. Hamilton pleaded guilty to discharging a gun into occupied property and was sentenced to probation.
