Three Year old Kilah Davenport Returns HomeCONCORD, N.C. - Three year old Kilah Davenport who police say was beaten by her step-father returned home from Levine Children's on Thursday to a warm welcome from friends and family. Kilah still has to go back to have a plate removed. Kilah's family members are trying to get a law passed that would require convicted child abusers to be registered the same way sex offenders do. On August 12th an event to raise funds for Kilah will be held at the Forty Rod Roadhouse. Click HERE to get directions and more information on the event. Police say Kilah's step-father, Joshua Houser, is charged with felony child abuse. He faces up to 8 years in prison. |
