2-Year-Old Killed In Salisbury House Fire

SALISBURY, N.C.--Investigators say a 2-year-old boy was killed and several others were injured in a house fire.

Officials say the house on Davis Street went up in flames a little after midnight.

Two adults and two children were able to escape but the 2-year-old was trapped in a bedroom.  Several people were injured trying to save the child.

A police officer and one other person were both treated for smoke inhalation.  A teenager was also treated for having a cut on her arm.

Fire investigators say a window fan used to cool a room in the house is what caused the fire.
