CHARLOTTE, NC -- Today with family, friends, and supporters from the community by his side, Mark Frietch announced his candidacy for one of four Charlotte City Council At-Large seats.

In his announcement at the Fourth Street Plaza of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center, Frietch outlined his vision for making Charlotte a great place to live, work, and play, and pledged to listen to the concerns of residents whose voices have been ignored.

“I want to tell the citizens today, you are not alone any longer. I pledge that when I am elected, I will host town hall meetings in each district once a quarter to hear the issues affecting you. The citizens of Charlotte need to know that they have an ear and a voice.”

Frietch is a newcomer to politics and plans to enter the Charlotte City Council race as a Republican. During his speech he stated that what he admires most about Charlotte is its “strength and determination to rise above times of decline and ability to become stronger.” Frietch believes that his platform of partnerships, prioritizing spending, public input, and improving public safety are the answer to improving the quality of life in Charlotte.

Frietch grew up in a military family and has lived around the Charlotte area since 1988. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is the owner of TAC Services, LLC., a company that specializes in social media solutions for job seekers. He is a member of the Charlotte Junior Chamber, Tim Tebow Foundation, and Elevation Church. To find out more information about Mark Frietch, visit his website,
