496 Grams of Cocaine Seized During Traffic Stop
LINCOLNTON, N.C.-- Two men from Catawba County are in custody after a traffic stop turned up almost half a kilo of cocaine.
Deputies say a car was pulled over on North NC Highway 16 in Denver around 9 p.m. Tuesday for a possible traffic violation.When the three passengers started acting suspicious, deputies requested to search the vehicle, which was granted.
The search turned up 496 grams of cocaine with a street value of between $18,000 and $100,000.
The driver, Mairo Reco Danner, 26, was charged with one felony count each of trafficking in cocaine by transport, trafficking in cocaine by possession, maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance, and conspiracy to traffic in cocaine.
One of the passengers, Damarius Corday Miller, 26, was charged with one felony count each of trafficking in cocaine by transport, trafficking in cocaine by possession, and conspiracy to trafficking cocaine.
An unnamed female was also a passenger in the car and was turned over to another law enforcement agency.
