800 Needy Families Get Food and EssentialsCHARLOTTE, N.C.--800 needy families in Charlotte are getting the food and essentials they need thanks to generous donations and volunteers. Feed the Children and Speedway Children's Charities delivered a 25 pound box of food and a box of personal care items to families Tuesday morning at Victory Christian Center. This year alone, the two organizations will deliver an estimated 540 thousand pounds of food and supplies to those in need.
