83rd Annual Mallard Creek BarbecueUNIVERSITY CITY, N.C.-- Who said politics has to be boring, especially when you can combine meet and greets with good eats! The 83rd Annual Mallard Creek Presbyterian Barbecue wrapped up Thursday night. 14,000 pounds of pork, 3,000 gallons of stew, and two tons of slaw are all gone! Candidates stood by all day to talk to voters. Despite the good BBQ, organizers say the political line is usually longer than the food line. The church will use the money it made for mission trips.
