CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Come one, come all to the world's largest tents just outside Uptown Charlotte! (by the way, they really are the world's largest tents)

They're home to Cavalia; described as "a celebration of the horse through a theatrical mix of performing arts, music and special effects."

The show opens Friday for 14 performances through May 14th, and showcases 12 breeds of horses from all over the world; including Arabians, Lusitanos, Spanish Pure Breed, Quarterhorses and Paint horses from France, Canada, Spain and the U.S.  The two-hour event features 60 horses working with 40 artists including acrobats, aerialists, riders, musicians and dancers in a magical fairy tale-like cathedral.

Shows are at 8 p.m. nightly, except for Sundays (2 p.m. May 2, 12:30 p.m. May 9) and Mondays (no shows). There is also a 3 p.m. show on Saturdays.

Regular tickets are $24.50 to $99.50. VIP tickets are available from $89.50 to $189.50 and include stable tours and/or a cocktail/dinner reception.
