Animal Shelter Director on "Investigatory Suspension"STATESVILLE, N.C. - The director of Iredell County Animal Services and Control is on paid "investigatory suspension." Chris Royal hasn't been on the job since March 15th. The county's Human Resources Director, Sandra Gregory, tells WCCB News that the suspension allows management to conduct a "thorough and unbiased" investigation. Gregory says, "This is certainly not an indication that Ms. Royal is guilty of any of the accusations." Gregory did not elaborate on what the accusations include. She says they expect to wrap up their investigation late Friday or Monday. |
