Arrest made in Applebee's Armed RobberyLANCASTER, SC -- Police have arrested a suspect in connection to an armed robbery at a restaurant in Lancaster. According to authorities, John Brandt, the manager of Applebee's, was alone in the restaurant when he was approached by a masked gunman. The suspect forced him into the rear office area where he demanded cash. After taking an undetermined amount of money, the gunman exited the building and left in an unknown direction. An arrest warrant for Brian Ealey, 42, was issued late Monday afternoon. Ealey is an employee of the restaurant and police do not believe he is the suspect. Authorities say they think Ealey did work with others to rob the restaurant. He was taken into custody at his job and booked for armed robbery.
