Authorities Searching For Missing Gastonia Woman In North Myrtle Beach
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Crews are searching for a missing Gastonia woman in North Myrtle Beach. Investigators say Amy Arrington went missing Saturday.
Her husband said he was laying on his beach towel when Arrington said she was going into the water. He told police he saw her get in the water and he laid back down. Approximately 15 minutes later he got up but could not locate his wife.
She was last seen on the beach near 24th Avenue North. Officials say she was last seen wearing a red one piece bathing suit with flowers and brown trim.
Witnesses say rescue crews were riding jet skis in the area Sunday. Arrington is 42-years-old. 5'2", 130lbs and has black hair. Anyone with information on Arrington's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
