Police Search For Cross-Dressing Bank Bandit In East Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Police need help identifying the suspect responsible for robbing a east Charlotte bank.

Around 4:30 p.m., authorities say a man dressed as a woman entered the State Employees Credit Union on North Wendover Road.

The suspect passed the teller a note demanding money, received an unknown amount of cash and left the scene.

It is unclear if the suspect left the scene in a car or on foot.

The suspect is described as being a black male,  5'10", wearing a black dress with white polka dots, a black curly wig, pink bedroom slippers, and dark colored socks.
