CHARLOTTE , NC-- Family members gathered on Sunday to remember the 52 people killed in Charlotte-Mecklenburg in 2012.

Mothers of Murdered Offspring held its annual balloon release at Frazier Park in Uptown Charlotte. Nearly 100 people showed up.

13 of last year's homicide cases remain unsolved.
