Black Forest Books and Toys to Close in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C.--After 34 years, one of the nation's oldest continually operating bookstores is shutting down its doors in Charlotte.
Owners of Black Forest Books and Toys in Elizabeth blame the struggling economy.
With sluggish sales of picture books and educational toys, they say closing is their only option.
Some of their first customers say there's no other bookstores like it.
The current owners bought the store in 2008. All items are at least 30% off. The store is expected to close by the 26th.
