CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Bobcats center, Brendan Haywood surprised 15 single-moms with a year's worth of free energy bills.

The women are staying at the Salvation Army's Center of Hope.  They are all part of a rapid re-housing program that gets families out of shelters by offering job assistance.

Now, power bills are one thing the families won't have to worry about.  Haywood, a Greensboro native, says the projects means a lot to him.  He was raised in a single parent home.
