Victim Identified In Dutchman's Creek Drowning
MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. -- UPDATE: Authorities have identified the body that was recovered from Dutchman's Creek on Tuesday. Police say Kelly Cogdell's cause of death has been determined to be an accidental drowning. They say alcohol was involved.
Authorities say Cogdell had been dead less than 24 hours when he was found.
On Tuesday two boaters discovered the body around 3:02 p.m. on Dutchman's Creek.
Fire and Rescue crews were able to recover the body shortly afterwards.
The body was immediately sent off to the Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy.
