CHARLOTTE,NC--Boy Scouts and law enforcement acted out drills in east Charlotte Saturday.

The drill brought out 80 Boy Scouts and more than a dozen law enforcement volunteers who acted out rescue drills at Reedy Creek Park.

The scouts learned how to cover ground and look for clues in the event of a possible missing person search.

Organizers say the messy weather made the simulation feel like a legitimate situation.

CMPD, The Charlotte Fire Department, and Mecklenburg County Parks and Rec organized the drill.
