Parents Want CMS To Make Drug & Alcohol Prevention A Priority
CHARLOTTE, NC- Some CMS parents are frustrated and say drug and alcohol prevention is not a priority in their kid's schools.
The latest CMS Youth Drug Survey found that about 20 percent of high schoolers smoked pot within 30 days of the survey and 25 percent admitted to drinking alcohol.
With both those numbers up from 2008, parents and community members say the schools aren't doing enough .
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Drug Free Coalition is encouraging parents to attend the CMS Board of Educatopm meeting on February 12.
