CHARLOTTE,NC--Hundreds of students and parents will appreciate the improved security and new classrooms at an east Charlotte school.

Superintendent Dr. Heath Morrison took his first tour of the new state of the art classrooms at McClintock Middle School on Rama road Wednesday.

Morrison says the good news for taxpayers is that the construction and others like it from the 2007 bond project are on-time and on budget.

With the 2007 bond project near completion the superintendent says the focus now shifts to a new 10 year capital plan that includes about $21.5 million for security upgrades.

The plan is said to be presented to the school board next Tuesday.
