Carowinds, the home of Intimidator®, the tallest, fastest and longest coaster in the Southeast, will offer free admission to active and retired U.S. military personnel on the Sunday and Monday of Memorial Day weekend as a part of its Military Days program.
Along with free admission, active and retired members of the military will be able to purchase discounted admission tickets for members of their immediate family at the Carowinds front gate. The free ticket offer will be available on May 27 & 28. A valid ID must be presented.
“We wanted to show our appreciation to the brave men and women of our Armed Forces and the sacrifices they have made for us,” said Bart Kinzel, Carowinds vice president and general manager. “We hope this event will allow military families to spend quality time together and create lasting memories.”
Carowinds Military Days has something for everyone in the family all weekend long, including:
• A special flag ceremony honoring each branch of our armed forces each day
• A military-themed activity center hosted by the Indian Trail VFW Post 2423 from 11am-2pm
• A fireworks show called “Celebrate America” on Sunday, May 27 at 10pm
