Celebrating Father's Day With The Knight'sFT MILL, S.C. - What better way to celebrate Father's Day than to take the whole family out for a game of baseball. Kids of all ages got to run the bases and dads got to play catch with their little ones at Knight's Stadium. Trevor Helms and his brother got their dad a father's day card this morning. His mother put a little money in it to sweeten the pot. Trevor says the money was for the game, "The money was to buy tickets for the game so we can do the catch thing with dad at the end of the game." Eric Helms, Trevor's dad says his kids really surprised him, "They came up with the idea on their own to surprise me so it's neat to get out here to the ball park with them." Michael Boswell celebrated Father's Day by waking up to a home cooked breakfast before heading to the game. He says his father's day has been very relaxing, "I think everyday is father's day but it is really nice to be recognized by the entire family." The best thing about spending Father's Day at the Knight's Stadium is playing a little catch with your dad. Jeremy Mandell agrees father's day isn't just a one day event, "It's just a day to celebrate that I have such an amazing son. I think of it as a 365 day celebration." David Bishop enjoyed the game with his son and his father-in-law. He says it was the best gift a father could get. "I can't think of another way to spend this day then with my ten year old watching baseball." |
