Celebrating Martin Luther Kings Birthday In Uptown.CHARLOTTE,NC--A wreath-laying ceremony was held at Marshall Park yesterday. Participating people joined in a unity circle to sing hymns and pray around the MLK statue. Organizers say the King's message is still strong today. Dr. King would have turned 84 years old yesterday, the federal MLK holiday is next Monday.
