Charlotte City Council Woman Critical Of Streetcar Project
CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- A Charlotte city council woman believes a better use for tax money would be transforming economically challenged areas. At-large member Claire Fallon remains unconvinced that the 120 million dollar Streetcar Project can be the game changer for Charlotte that the mayor wants. Instead, Fallon would take that money and break it up into three parts. She believes that money can be better spent improving neighborhoods. As for Mayor Anthony Foxx tying the Streetcar Project with renovating Bank of America Stadium, Fallon says that each project should be scrutinized individually. |
