CHARLOTTE, NC -- There is concern that help may have come too late for 276 kidnapped girls in Nigeria.  Officials believe the girls may no longer be in the country.  #BringBackOurGirls is trending around the world, even here in the Queen City.

The Charlotte chapter of the National Organization for Women plans to offer support to the mothers of the missing girls.  The group is holding a solidarity event in Dilworth tomorrow.  Participants are asked to wear red and take a picture with the hashtag "#BringBackOurGirls".

"The fact that we're all human beings, we can all understand that this is a heartbreaking tragedy to have your daughters ripped away from you," said Charlotte NOW Organizer Louise Clark.

You can join Charlotte NOW's #BringBackOurGirls solidarity event at The Bag Lady in Dilworth on Saturday, May 10, from 10am until 5pm.  You are asked to wear red!
