Charlotte Officers Return From Presidential InaugurationCHARLOTTE, N.C.-- CMPD officers plan to use what they learned at the inauguration right here in Charlotte. 39 officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are back after providing security for the Inaugural Gala. They helped with crowd control and even escorted the presidential motorcade to the gala. Major Greene, one of the officers who went to Washington, says he would have brought back pictures but the guys were so cold they never got around to it. |
