CHARLOTTE, NC- 50 people from the Charlotte area took off from work and drove to New Jersey to help those devastated by Super Storm Sandy.

Missions of North America and Christ Covenant Church led the group along with a number of other churches.

Volunteer Steven Wray says one of the serious issues they're fighting is mold remediation because it keeps raining, "It has been a very damaging storm not so much for Atlantic City, but for those who don't have resources. It's incredibly damaging to them and they have a very challenging time to restore. To rebuild their lives."

From gutting homes to removing water damage and repairing anything that was damaged organizers say they made an impact. Volunteers Returned home Saturday December 8.
