Charlotte's Race for the Cure a Huge Success!

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Charlotte's 16th annual Race for the Cure has raised $1.1 million but the fundraising is not over! 

Nearly 17,000 people ran or walked on the streets of Uptown on Saturday.  Men, women and kids all raised money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. 

They are collecting donations through the end of October.  Komen Charlotte has raised $22 million since 1997.
