Chip'n for Children Golf Tournament Hosted by Griffin Brothers
Griffin Brothers Tires, Wheels & Auto Repair will host its 6th annual Chip’n for Children golf tournament benefiting the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte (BBBSGC) on Monday, May 12, 2014. The tournament will be held at Pine Island Country Club in Charlotte. Last year’s event (Griffin Brothers’ largest to date) raised $83,000 in gross revenue, and over 100 golfers participated from various organizations and civic groups.
All proceeds from this year’s tournament will stay within the community to help support BBBSGC and all related facilities. For over a century the vision of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America has been to bring caring role models into the lives of children in need. Serving as the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported network, their ultimate goal is to change kids’ perspectives and give them the opportunity to reach their full potential. It costs $1,000 to match and support one child with an adult mentor for one year. BBBSGC is 100 percent community funded, so your support is critical to impacting the lives of children they serve.

Griffin Brothers began the Chip’n for Children tournament in 2009 to help raise money for local charities and organizations. This will be the 3rd year that Griffin Brothers has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte, an affiliate of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, to help raise awareness within the community and beyond.
