Coach Accused of Having Sexual Relationship with StudentHUNTERSVILLE, N.C.-- A volunteer swim coach at Hopewell High School was arrested after an investigation into allegations of a sexual relationship with a student. David Mackenzie Haynes, 24, was arrested Wednesday and charged with three counts of sexual activity with a student and providing a malt beverage to a person less than 21 years of age. According to police, Haynes had three separate encounters with the student off school property. Officials confirmed that Haynes is banned from all CMS property. |
