Construction Slows Business in Plaza MidwoodCHARLOTTE, N.C.--Constant construction has been a drain on some businesses in Plaza Midwood. The road work at Commonwealth and The Plaza is about two-weeks from being finished. Some restaurants and shops say they have seen a dent in sales since it started. The biggest headache is disrupted gas and water lines. The handful of times its happened salons and restaurants have had to shut down. Businesses in the area did say they appreciate the decision to complete the construction in the winter, versus the busier spring and summer months. |
