Cornelius Man Shoots and Kills Himself After Robbing A Lexington Bank
Cornelius, N.C. -- Jonathan Conley, 39, shot and killed himself Friday night after surrendering to police for a bank robbery.
Lexington and Cornelius Police Departments were looking for a suspect involved in a bank robbery Thursday in Lexington.
Jonathan Conley is who police believed to be the robber.
At 7:30 p.m. on Friday Cornelius Police were on the way to Conley's residence on Old Canal Street when a family member called and told them Conley wished to surrender.
Police arrived and told Conley to come outside of the home. Conley responded by shooting and killing himself inside the home.
