Crystal Morrison Friends and Family Look for Encouragement in Search
KANNAPOLIS, NC - "The more time passes, as everyone knows, it gets more difficult," says Lacey Castro.
Castro says it's hard to keep from breaking down when she thinks about her missing friend Crystal Morrison.
"We just want to really keep her name and her story out there," she says.
Morrison went missing August 23rd after leaving work in Concord.
Castro's greatest fears emerged Thursday as dive teams searched a Concord pond.
But friends tell me they're relieved that search turned up empty.
"You know we live here, my children live here, it's where we grew up, and you know the community's rallied together," Castro explains.
Today they held a toy drive and raffle in Crystal's honor.
The toys donated will go to Jeffrey's toy closet, which supports needy and sick kids.
But the one gift they really want is to bring Crystal home by Christmas for her 8-year-old son Kyson.
If you have any information please Contact Concord Police at 704-920-5000 or CUE 24 hour tip line (910) 232-1687. There is a $1000 crime stoppers reward.
