Deadly Tornado In Rock Hill
Authorities confirm that three people are dead and five are injured in a tornado that ripped through southern Rock Hill, South Carolina. The devastating scene is only lit by emergency lights near the intersection of Williamson Road and Hwy 324 in southern Rock Hill. But you can see the destruction. Kathy Harris was home and tells me what she heard and saw, "It only lasted a few seconds but it was a definite definite loud roaring and it shook the house thank god it didn't do a lot of damage but it's devastating to come around and see your friends homes destroyed and not even know where they're at." Harris and her family are looking for their neighbors, like the couple that lives in the mobile home that was thrown across the street. This house seems to have collapsed inward. Outside vehicles were flipped upside down or flattened in eerie way that showed the power of the storm. In the aftermath of such an event, it's unclear who was home, who had visitors, and who is safe. So how powerful was this storm and was it a tornado? National weather service experts will be here tomorrow to see for themselves.
