Dilworth Residents Fight to Keep Walgreens Out of NeighborhoodCHARLOTTE, N.C.--Residents say there's no compromising with a developer who wants to build a Walgreens in Dilworth. City Council held a public hearing on how the corner of Morehead and Kenilworth would look with a pharmacy there. Right now, five homes are located on the property. If approved, the store would have an urban architecture to match the area but residents aren't convinced. Some council members expressed concerns about bringing retail and more traffic to the area. City staff has given it's approval and a decision could come next month. |
